Porta dos Cavaleiros 1997 Tinto
Cor granada acastanhada.

In the past Porta dos Cavaleiros brand was synonymous with high quality wines, to the point that they were regular at family dinners. The change in the rules and mechanics of the wine market caused we as consumers started to erase the brand from our mind. The fact of increasing purchasing power and the constant deception that expensive wine is the best we can buy, put away some brands off the radar. Now it's time to discover again this wine and see what is worth compared to modern standards.
Brownish garnet color.
Very aromatic with cherries and oak.
It's delightfully fresh, balanced, with toasted oak commanding a swirl of cherries and dark berries. Full of structure and character.
Long and deep finish.
How often we are looking for miraculous wines, unique and different and we forget ourselves what seems too banal and common because we are afraid to taste and see what it's worth. In fact, proves to be a great wine. Full of freshness, character and sharp details. Very good and highly recommended.
