Capela Mor 1997 Tinto

English:

This bottle was rescued from my father in law  cellar who occasionally presents us with a little gift (he hides a lot of good stuff actually).

Appearance:
Deep garnet colour, with brownish reflections, indicating ageing time.

Aroma:
Super! Near a Tawny Port wine which it's added cherries in syrup and leather.

Palate:
Deeply aged, off-dry, but round. Initially feels leather and later red fruit ending in cherries. Cherry flavour is well defined. Tastes so good. It has a light body but in the bottom layer lies its full essence. The tannins are round. Residual acidity still exists.

Finish:
Short.

Conclusion:
A wine with high value, after all these years. Balanced, still with good fruit proportion and the charm of bottle maturation.
